各二級學(xué)院:
為貫徹落實(shí)安徽省教育廳發(fā)布的《關(guān)于舉辦2019年安徽省大學(xué)生跨文化能力大賽的通知》精神,推動我校外語教育教學(xué)改革與發(fā)展,提高我校學(xué)生的英語應(yīng)用能力和跨文化交際能力,豐富校園文化生活。為做好參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)的推薦及競賽準(zhǔn)備工作,經(jīng)研究決定舉辦2019年安徽省大學(xué)生跨文化能力大賽安徽外國語學(xué)院選拔賽?,F(xiàn)將有關(guān)事項(xiàng)通知如下:
一、大賽宗旨
安徽省大學(xué)生跨文化能力大賽是安徽省教育廳主辦的學(xué)科競賽。大賽以提升新時(shí)代高校英語類專業(yè)學(xué)生核心素養(yǎng)和非英語類專業(yè)學(xué)生綜合外語素養(yǎng)為宗旨,通過搭建大學(xué)生學(xué)業(yè)切磋與學(xué)科競技的平臺,為大學(xué)生開展國際學(xué)術(shù)交流與創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)合作、實(shí)現(xiàn)高質(zhì)量專業(yè)發(fā)展提供能力支撐,為新時(shí)代高校外語教育教學(xué)改革和國際化人才培養(yǎng)路徑進(jìn)行創(chuàng)新探索。

根據(jù)文件的要求,成立競賽領(lǐng)導(dǎo)小組:

副組長:張文鳳、劉勇
成員:鞠紅、劉麗、鄭瓊、裴振霞、王玉嬌
為保證比賽的公平、公正,大賽組委會將聘請英語學(xué)科的專家組成大賽評審委員會,負(fù)責(zé)大賽作品評審工作。
三、競賽內(nèi)容
比賽內(nèi)容為案例展示分析、回答評委提問。參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)根據(jù)成員的經(jīng)驗(yàn)、觀察或者閱讀,圍繞“多元文化生活”、“公共外交”和“商務(wù)溝通”三個(gè)主題中的一個(gè),共同開發(fā)編寫跨文化沖突案例,在比賽現(xiàn)場通過PPT展示、現(xiàn)場角色扮演等形式進(jìn)行案例展示,并運(yùn)用跨文化知識進(jìn)行案例分析。隨后,參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)回答評委提問。案例展示分析,時(shí)間8分鐘,由3名團(tuán)隊(duì)成員共同合作完成;回答提問,時(shí)間2分鐘,由1名團(tuán)隊(duì)成員負(fù)責(zé),其他成員可補(bǔ)充或更正。
四、競賽方式
(一)比賽語種
參賽語種為英語。
(二)參賽方式
1、采用團(tuán)隊(duì)賽形式,參賽同學(xué)自由組隊(duì)參賽,每隊(duì)由3名學(xué)生
組成。每一參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)須由外語類和非外語類專業(yè)學(xué)生共同組成,非外語類專業(yè)學(xué)生至少1人,個(gè)人不得同時(shí)加入兩個(gè)團(tuán)隊(duì)。
2、參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)可自主確定團(tuán)隊(duì)名稱,用作團(tuán)隊(duì)成員標(biāo)識,但不得包含二級學(xué)院及成員姓名等信息。每隊(duì)自行確定指導(dǎo)教師1名,每位指導(dǎo)教師所指導(dǎo)的學(xué)生團(tuán)隊(duì)不能超過3隊(duì)。
3、參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)編寫案例并制作PPT,進(jìn)行8分鐘現(xiàn)場陳述和2分鐘回答評委提問,分享團(tuán)隊(duì)成員在跨文化視角下發(fā)現(xiàn)問題和解決問題的經(jīng)歷與經(jīng)驗(yàn)。
五、競賽規(guī)則
(一)報(bào)名資格
我校全日制本科在籍學(xué)生均可報(bào)名參賽。
(二)報(bào)名要求
各參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)須填寫《2019年安徽省大學(xué)生跨文化能力大賽安徽外國語學(xué)院初賽報(bào)名表》,編寫相關(guān)案例和展示PPT,于10月4日前將以上材料電子版發(fā)送至指定郵箱,命名方式為“團(tuán)隊(duì)名稱+負(fù)責(zé)人姓名”。
(三)賽前準(zhǔn)備
各參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)須按時(shí)完成案例編寫并于規(guī)定時(shí)間內(nèi)提交案例文本及展示分析PPT,案例展示分析所需道具須自行準(zhǔn)備,遵循道具使用最少化原則。
(四)比賽時(shí)間
1.初審(2019年10月5日-2019年10月6日)
大賽組委會將組織專家對報(bào)名的材料進(jìn)行初審,優(yōu)選不超過10個(gè)團(tuán)隊(duì)進(jìn)入決賽。
2.決賽(2019年10月16日)
決賽采用現(xiàn)場比賽的形式,具體安排如下:

比賽出場順序由各參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)選手于彩排時(shí)現(xiàn)場抽簽決定。

現(xiàn)場評委打分,現(xiàn)場公布成績。
六、競賽試題
競賽試題為自主編寫案例。案例體例及展示PPT示例見附件。
七、成績評定
(一)評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)
大賽考察學(xué)生在多元文化環(huán)境中和跨文化語境下,分析問題和解決問題能力,具體評價(jià)指標(biāo)及分值如下:

(二)評分方法
由校內(nèi)專家擔(dān)任評委,進(jìn)行現(xiàn)場評分。滿分100分。去掉一個(gè)最高分、一個(gè)最低分,取算術(shù)平均分(保留至小數(shù)點(diǎn)后兩位)。評委打分保留至小數(shù)點(diǎn)后一位,評分區(qū)間為80-100分。
八、獎項(xiàng)設(shè)置
大賽獎項(xiàng)設(shè)置特等獎1名,一、二、三等獎若干。
按照決賽總成績,按團(tuán)隊(duì)數(shù)的10%、20%、30%設(shè)定一、二、三等獎,獲一等獎的參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)指導(dǎo)教師為“優(yōu)秀指導(dǎo)教師”。
特等獎獲得者將被學(xué)校推薦參加安徽省大學(xué)生跨文化能力大賽決賽。決賽舉辦時(shí)間為2019年11月9日-11月10日。
九、競賽須知
(一)參賽選手及指導(dǎo)教師在報(bào)名獲得確認(rèn)后,原則上不再更換。
(二)大賽不收取參賽費(fèi)用與報(bào)名費(fèi)用。

Mark Johnson, a department manager working for a companyBombardier TransportationinToronto, shared the office with a colleague from China called Lin Xiaoyi. They had worked together in the team of the same project for more than 3 months. One day, Mark invited Xiaoyi to see a movie. Mark: Xiaoyi, do you like movies? Xiaoyi: Yes, I do. Mark: I’d like to invite you to see a movie. Xiaoyi: Errr, that’s not necessary Mark, I can go to see the movie myself. Mark: Well, I do wish to invite you. Xiaoyi: OK then. Mark: What kind of movies do you like best? Xiaoyi: I don’t care. It’s up to you. Mark: Since I live here, I can go to any movie I like at any time. But if you have any movie particular in your mind, I will take you to that. Xiaoyi: I don’t mind really. Any movie you like will be fine. Mark felt confused and frustrated by the response from Xiaoyi and he was a bit at a loss to react further. ....... The next year Mark was sent to work inBombardier Transportationin China. Mr. Ma Lin is Mark’s immediate boss of the company in China who appreciated Mark’s initiative attitude and innovative ability. He emailed every day to Mark, inquiring for the index number he was most concerned about. To his great astonishment, Mark turned in his resignation after a month and asked to go back to work in Toronto. Mr. Ma was very puzzled how Mark could do that to him as he gave such great attention to his job. A Chinese employee would have been more than happy if his boss had showed such great concern for him. |

Miss Ann Smith is from U.K. and she is teaching English in a university in Shanghai. She said the first class was a disaster to her. Ann first gave a brief self introduction, and then she asked the students to raise questions.“Any questions will do”, she said. However, the questions raised by students made her feel embarrassed and confused. She recalled:“I have never been asked in this way, and I don’t know how to answer them”. (1) Student A: How old are you, Miss Ann? Ann Smith: Well, about that. Student A: Oh, about what? (2) Student B: Teacher Ann, how many children do you have? Ann Smith: I’m not married actually. Student B: I’m sorry. Ann Smith: Sorry for what? (3) Student C: Ann Laoshi, I've heard that foreign teachers all have a high salary. How much do you earn in China? Ann Smith: Well, I am not quite clear. Maybe we get paid more than Chinese teachers. (4) Student D: Miss Smith, do you like travel? Have you ever visited Jianyin? That is my home town. Ann Smith: No. I don't think I've ever heard of that place. Is it near here? Student D: Not very far from here. You should go and visit it this summer vacation and I can be your tour guide. It’s really a nice place. Ann Smith: Well, thank you. I’ve got my plan for touring in China already. (5) Student E: Miss Ann, are you ill? You look so pale. Ann Smith: No, may be yesterday evening I slept too late and this morning when I got up, I had a slight headache. Now I’m OK. Student E: O I’m sorry to hear that. You shouldn’t sleep too late because it’s not good for your health. And you’d better go to see the doctor after the class. Ann Smith: Err... (The student gave the advice with a good intention, while Ann felt very uncomfortable. She just frowned and didn’t know how to response.) |
